Hi, looks like a good forum.
I am mostly a metal fan but have always liked the more epic and progressive stuff, now I am exploring progressive rock.

I've actually been listening to Magma all the way through, and I have to admit it all sounds really weird to me. My favourite is actually their first one.

Good on you for trying.  It'll likely grow on you.

You may soon return to metal with PA as you will notice the extreme metal section of PA is growing faster than any other section and people here seem to prefer the growls of Akerfeldt over the "high pitchiness" of Jon Anderson...

My only problem with Magma is that I couldn't figure the structure of the songs and it sounded random and disjointed, so more listening is in order. Right now I am listening to Camel and Caravan.

Which album are you listening to? (from Magma)

If you like Camel and Caravan, get Gong's Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy, which is... not so much similar, but you will like it Thumbs Up
