Any fans of this underappreciated, post-punk, jazz-punk, avant whatever
you want to call it band. I have all of their albums, and they're truly

I really liked Y - wasn't so impressed by any of their later stuff though. There were 2 good offshoots from The Pop Group - Pigbag (great live, OK on record) and the excellent Rip Rig and Panic, both of which pursued the jazzier side of The Pop Group's music. ------------- 'Like so many of you I've got my doubts about how much to contribute to the already rich among us...' The pop group are one of the best post punk groups very captain beefheartish my favourite album is we are all prostitutes

Thought I'd revisit my own topic, figures I'd only get two replies. As
of lately, I've gotten two Mark Stewart albums (member of The Pop
Group), deinitely worth checking out, especially As the Veneer of Democracy Starts to Fade. I'd say it's much more experimental than The Pop Group's stuff, well worth your time.

I got mine off of eBay all on vinyl, my copy of Y is on mp3 though. I paid around 15-20 for each, not too bad.
