From Proggnosis: Saginaw Michigan guitar driven progressive rock band featured Ben MacArthur who date from the mid-late 70's. Both albums only released in quantities of 500 each - the first distributed at live shows only. Impossible to find, but legendary.

And it turned out they are still active, maybe there will be some new material, this is from their facebook:  The classic and progressive rock group "MacArthur" originally formed in the late 70's and was created around the axis of singer Ben MacArthur's original material. The combo recorded two albums of unique and creative, modern progressive rock. (MacArthur I, and II).These releases have been especially sought after on the European progressive rock market and widely bootlegged. Original members included Ben MacArthur,(Vocals and Guitars) Bill Hefflefinger,(Guitars, Keyboards and Programming) Donald (Scott) Stockford, (Bass) And Jeff Bauer, (Drums).
In 2006, MacArthur reformed with all original members. (Except for Chuck Harrington replacing Bauer on Drums.) The group began to perform live again and began recording updated versions of older material, as well as new selections. Occasionally the group is joined by The Process vocalist David Asher on Keyboards at live appearances. Ben MacArthur's voice is still as strong as it was 30 years ago and the bands songwriting and musicianship are still top notch.

I found samples from a reissue of the first album (1973), but they have something on their myspace as well: http://www.myspace.com/macarthurv20

Good find, sounds like a solid candidate for Crossover. I'll notify the team.

Added to Crossover. One might note that this was a late 70's band however, and not an early 70's outfit. At least according to sometime member David Asher, who should know what he's talking about ;-)
