Too bad it crashes so easily. It's much more fun when really f**ked up stuff happen!

I'm more a fan of the classic Missingno glitches that occured naturally in the game. Missingno was always my favorite Pokemon, I wish they'd bring him back.

Ahhhh.... The memories.... When I finally got to Cinnabar island and had pokemon with Fly and Surf and whatnot, I kept using the missingno cheat to get Rare Candy so I didn't have to put any effort into levelling my pokemon anymore...(I did get my Blastoise to level 99 without cheating, though) Maybe I'll start a new game of Pokemon now... I'll just have to decide which color.

I just started a new game on Pokemon Gold with the "Walk through Walls" and "Steal Trainers Pokemon" cheat. It's sick! You can get to the Pokemon League with a Level 5 Chikorita And you don't even have to battle the Elite four, you can just walk through the doors

I find that the pokemon games on portable consoles are excellent but there's far too much grinding to gain levels early on and for me that often means that I'm completely bored by the time the average level of my pokemon is around 25. However I find that I enjoy the apparently inferior regular console releases more as they are a little bit faster paced.

Pokemon is a little boring on an actual Game Boy, but on an emulator it's awesome because you can just unlock the frame limit and grind at 5000 FPS.

i don't know. . . its part of my childhood an i like to do like i did on the "old" days: on a freaking game boy. i must agree that that searching for wild pokemon is REALLY of boring and it IS better to do it on an emulator or on the pokemon stadium (i still have my NINTENDO SIXTY FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!** with its games, including stadium), but the battles i like to do old school style! ** for those who does not know whats that, check this video: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=pFlcqWQVVuU

The thing about grinding in Pokemon games: if you play them wrong, grinding isn't a problem. If you play them right, yes, you are going to be doing lots of grinding.
I used nothing but my starter for the first few Pokemon games, and he'd always be completely overpowered. I mean, by the end of it all, if the enemy survived an attack at all, regardless of type advantages or anything, I was honestly shocked.
Meanwhile, I recently picked up Diamond, and the grinding just kills me since I'm trying to use everyone. Oh well.

Dragon Quest Monsters was always a better, if much lesser-known, series.

Lesser known? I've never heard of it at all.

Some recent glitching around in Pokemon Gold: I battled a trainer in Glitch city, and managed to catch that trainer with a master ball (That is very hard to do without crashing the emulator afterwards). This is that trainers Pokedex info Some seriously screwed up background. Made by walking outside the actual maps using the "Walk through walls" cheat. Then, pokemon league music starts playing. And the game usually crashes after a while. And my character turned into 4 blinking letters! The trainers in Glitch city usually have screwed up names. Psyduck Thomas is sometimes just called Thomas, and he has no pokemon so he send out himself (under the name ?????). Then the game freezes. I've also battled "Grunt" and even Elite Four Lance there Then, the game restarted, and the colours went nuts: That's all for now...

Oh Aaron, you and your monsters. It's true, the Dragon Quest Monsters games were superior in many ways, but they didn't have Missingo. Pokemon just has more of a nostalgia factor for me. Whenever a new one comes out it's like a Return To Childhood tour. And my Level 100 Blastoise (nicknamed "Blastadon") with Earthquake/Body Slam/Surf/Ice Beam could pwn pretty much anything.
