I voted So, but Bill Nelson and David Sylvian both had excellent releases this year as well!

So easy to choose.

Peter Gabriel. There is nothing more dramatic than a jar of mayonnaise on Tuesday.

Stephen Caudel - Wine Dark Sea. He plays everything on here so often it's compared to Mike Oldfield but actually is closer to Camel and Steve Hackett.

I like the Rick Wakeman album as well. Don't know much else on the list including even PG's album which I've never owned!

The only Peter Gabriel album I've ever bought was his greatest hits album below, which I bought mainly because it was cheap and included Kate Bush on one song, but I Don't Give Up on looking for more Peter Gabriel albums to add to my CD collection. Smile

David Gilmour deserves a cuddle from Kate too for giving her her big break in the music business. Smile

RE: Mark Shreeve – Oracle.

This was released by Bruton Music (the UK's library music label owned by Zomba Group at the time) and wasn't a proper "album." It contains edited versions of some tracks from Legion (released the same year) and original material, available for lease by the label.

Shreeve's Bruton library releases were rather hard to acquire in the US. Fortunately, Eurock and a couple other specialty mail order outfits secured some copies, and I was able to acquire them that way (except for Pulsar, that took me a while to find one), and they've been in my collection ever since.

That would explain why the music on Oracle sounded so familiar when I listened to the album again today. Smile

I don't know many albums here, but I will vote for David Sylvian's Gone to Earth.

I have to go with Peter Gabriel on this one, though David Sylvian, Anthony Phillips, Allan Holdsworth, all have very good albums on this list.

When The Wind Blows. Not exactly a Roger Waters thing as it features also Bowie, Genesis and Squeeze.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution
