It's time for a German edition.

Hmmm, aren't you forgetting Quartz and their mix of Berlin School, prog and disco?!:

Really not so bad, I still have the LP of it!

^ They are French if I'm not mistaken, and I'm limiting to bands on PA. Otherwise I could see a duel between Quartz and Cerrone 3 Cool

I'm not sure I remember that Can track. It's been ages since I ventured past Soon Over Babaluma.
Anyway great to see another disco poll Samuel - most likely inspired by your recent listen to Correlations methinks

P.S. All this disco talk prompted me to put on Runddans. Damn! I still need to bump up that rating from a 3 to a 4. Absolutely brilliant slice of modern electronic avantguarde disco with all the proper Todd Rundgren vocal interludes - hell there's even the odd rock cameos from time to time.
For me personally it is nigh on the perfect example of a grower. I hated it when I first heard it.

^ I never heard that Can album, it's one of the suggestions from the first poll.
You think? Tongue

I never heard of it but that description is tempting Big smile

I love that Can track, it leaves me wanting more. Spacelab would be my second choice.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

Ashra blows the other two out of the water. Correlations is fantastic. (And the rest of the album is better than "Bamboo Sands.")

Funny how Ashra was the only one without votes yesterday.

^ It can assume many forms, this sounds like psychedelic Euro Disco. It has "the beat" from beginning to end, even the vocals remind of Boney M Tongue

^^ If Can's version isn't disco enough for you to want to shake your groove thing, maybe the 1978 Euro-Disco cover of Can's "I Want More" by Galaxis will do.

Gotta love that Galaxis track Hell I'm not even sure which version I prefer now!
Then again I do love me some kitschy fender rhodes wakawaka.

The Runddans album prompted me to consider adding Lindstrøm to electronic...it would certainly be the first electronic disco artist on PA...but then again he isn't really disco but more of a Klaus Schulzian type of dude who makes music you can dance to. He's also released an album I'd consider calling danceable Krautrock. NEU! develops an ass....aargh what's it's name? Eerrrm Lindstrøm & Prince Thomas ll!!!
