What do you think of those two? I listened to Arborescence the other day, amazing music Today: ELP - Works Vol. 2 (Not a very good album, but not as horrible as many reviewers say. I would rate it with 2 stars though: there's not much prog here, but it's interesting for fans and it's a fun, energetic and a diverse album) Dominique Guiot - L'Univers de la Mer (Great album, it sounds like Oldfield with Electronic music ) Scorpions - Fly to the Rainbow (Not as Krautrock as the first one, but still awesome ) Genesis - Duke (Some Pop music start to emerge here but it's still very enjoyable. Should I listen to Abacab? ) If - s/t José Cid - Vida (Sons do Quotidiano) (It's a shame my CD copy of '10.000 Anos' doesn't have this great EP as bonus track) Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans (LP 2. This one is so much better when listened to each LP individually)

Sam, I've always really liked that Ozrics album! It was the first album of theirs I owned, and it's right as they were starting to move between the more ethnic/world elements into more electronic areas. Tracks like `Saucers' , `Bizarre Bazaar' and `Space Between Your Ears' are absolutely incredible! I just picked up that ELP album off ebay for $2 on CD recently! I avoided it for years. Now it's not full blown prog by any definition, but the playing is instantly recognisable as E.L.P, and some of the tunes are solid. It currently sits at a 1.71 average from 259 votes on here, with 45% of those voters giving it a 1 star out of 5! It doesn't sound too special, but certainly more deserving than such a low vote! One thing I will say, even though his playing is still fine, poor Carl's drums sound badly recorded on it. Well done with the `If 2' album! Very special to me! Man, I put it on all the time, and it always puts me in a great mood! What's your thoughts on that `Celestial Oceans' album by the Alpha Wave Movement? I'm placing an order for several of their albums over the next few days, so please let me know if it's good! edit: listening to it now on Bandcamp, I LOVE `When We Roamed The Stars', the second track! Just mellow and blissful, really joyous and lovely!

^ Awesome, I'll certainly give it a listen Yeah, its rating is scary but if you survived the experience it's reason enough for me to try it someday Also put me in a great mood today It's very different from Architexture: less ambiental and more song based but don't think it's a bad thing. I noticed some influences from all the Psike genres: a bit of Ozric, another of Popol Vuh and also the longest and indian influenced track 'Stellar Mantra'

For sure, Sam! I've noticed there's quite a lot of different ambient flavours throughout the Alpha Wave Movement discography. I've tried to sample a few of those different styles with the CD's I've chosen to order, cover a few bases, etc. Giving them quick spins on that Bandcamp page, and they all sound wonderful. Been playing `Yasumu' right now, and it's a much more purely ambient release, very floating and serene.

Yeah, I love the classical guitar on that one. I think I'm starting to like this one more than Relayer, although I couldn't listen to the whole album in the same day

I'm beginning to think I should have given that album a `4' instead of `3', Sam. Listened to it a few more times and it gets better every time! Your PSIKE team-mate Admireart also wrote a really good review for it, his and mine sound totally different, really cool! What did you think of it? Awesome to see all the love for `Topographic Oceans', you guys! Jim, I'm going to try and give that Tacita Intesa album another spin today, I haven't spun it since I reviewed it. Speaking of, are you going to consider writing a review for it yourself?!

Hey Michael....I'd love to review it and Secret Tales but my brief slower time at work is coming to an end.....as things ramp up there my reviewing time is going to evaporate. Someday....
