To be very honest, I dont think I own a single post rock album with a guitar solo...

Well, it wont sway my review if thats what your worried about. I think I'm gonna give it four stars, all of it's good, but kristikon has some blender moents.

You're supposed to play them together? Oh man, I thought I was supposed to listen to one after the other.

I listened to Yndi Halda for the first time, good stuff, I had trouble paying attention to it the whole way through though. More listening required.

Better listen to YHz track by track with long pauses between them.

Wake/Lift's trick is to play them together!!! Don't you knew that?

Yep, their most balanced and melodic (despite the fact that debut has my favouritest track from them, "Human Highway")

You Are There  is indeed their most balanced album, but it's also their longest in running time making it a bit hard to digest.

One Step More And You Die is another fairly balanced album and it's shorter than You Are There thus making it more accessible for newcomers. Plus it has "Com?" which is one of their best songs.

Can someone inform me on Yndi Halda...seem to be quite popular for having just an EP. Makes me curious.

They released an EP in 2005 and they released it as an album in 2006/2007 with the addition of the song "A Song For Starlit Beaches".

They make epic post-rock like GY!BE, but they're music is lighter and more optimistic. The climaxes in their songs are euphoric, to say the least. They're one of my favorite post-rock bands and I can't recommend them highly enough.
