Clockwork Angels live should be cool, though.

I know about SB and DT is bound to make something, but PT and Trans? Where'd you hear this?

neal morse has said that the band is getting together early this year to write and record.  of course, anything can change.  they were supposed to record Jan 2012, but that didn't happen.  i have a feeling they've got some stuff written though from the anticipation of last year's recording ant this year.

i've not heard a thing about porcupine tree or opeth.

i think roine stolt has indicated that there well be an agents of mercy album this year.  he'll probably put something else out if transatlantic doesn't come together.

i'm looking forward to the Mischine...all the x-tangent dudes released on inside/out.  should be great!

I'd forgotten about Maschine (wish they'd kept their old name Concrete Lake), after the steller performance they gave at Summers End 2011 I cant wait to finally hear the album.

Last I heard it was supposed to come out last year, based on a Jonas Reingold interview, but I never head anything since, so I assume it got pushed back to this year.

material has been written for a new album sheduled for release in 2013 + a remixed Tales From The Lush Attic (21 Jan) in CD/DVD format (also available on vinyl)

i'm pretty sure they said there were either beginning writing or recording in 2013.  definitely not a release.
they have 30 minutes of new material but according to Mike Holmes it would appear they are aiming for a 2013 release ,but likely to be the end of the year if so.

Let us not forget Enchant, they are supposed to have been working on a new album since early last year. Hopefully it'll be out in 2013.

yeah, i'm sure it's in the can.  i bet he held off since TFK came back.  they'll be some down time at some point, so i think it'll be out in the spring or fall.  i'm looking forward to it.  i've really grown to love their sound and the singer.  good stuff.

Karnivool!

In the realm of the prog-pop, Everything Everything have a new one coming out very soon, should be interesting to see where they go. In the Mars Volta family, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's new group Bosnian Rainbows has their debut of pop-psych stuff coming in the first half of the year, and singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala should have his first acoustic solo album out.
