Patrick, can I borrow your ears for a minute?

Thanks.

Could you listen to Goretex Weather Report and tell me if you consider it "heavy".

Hmm - not particularly, but at the same time I could see how someone would say that.

It is though... I find them heavier than Nightwish anyhow. LOL

I swear you're all listening to the wrong song... Embarrassed

I'd definitely call it heavy, but not heavy as in Harry-MikeDTn00b-brootalz.

Yep, that's what I mean.

However, In the Kingdom of Kitsch You Will Be a Machine is heavier still. Big%20smile

Not Br00talz, I admit.

But Kim said it wasn't heavy (Goretex Weather Report I mean)... yet she listens to a lot of Power Metally twaddle. LOLEmbarrassed

Or whatever you call most Finnish Metal, like Sonata Arctica, H.I.M. (haha, they're erm... meh) and Nightwish.

Right, I mean it's not as heavy as a lot of metal I listen to, obviously.
But it's certainly not light and airy either.  LOL

"Power metal" - it's been a while...

Gamma Ray

Blind Guardian

Sonata Arctica

...just a few bands of the glorious years between 13 and 15.

So far it sounds like a heavier version of a Muse instrumental, but I wouldn't consider it heavy.

Hmm... well I know Nightwish but not Sonata Arctica... and well, Shining sound more br00talz than Nightwish... Confused

Especially Winterreise. LOL

You need practice?  My last French lesson was in 1994!

Don't worry, you were both near perfection. Wink
