Easy choice: Talk Talk. Spirit of Eden is their best album in my opinion.

You have done some pretty creative intros in the past in the same vein. This is, of course, my way of showing my preferences in order. It has been a lot of fun.

It looks like Peter Gabriel has hit a Home run with a Secure lead Now and Zen in this particular poll, although it's not that important in The Grand Scheme of Things. It's just a bit of fun.

Steven Wilson, although if we could vote for live versions, I would take Mike Oldfield's live version of Incantations.

In that case, I'll include Mike Oldfield's live Exposed album in the fifth Crossover Prog poll.

Hey Paul, how many more of the Crossover polls do you plan to have? And what is the next sub-genre you're going to tackle?

He's running out of subgenres. If anyone wants a progressive metal from Britain poll, I know a few bands.

I'm planning ten Crossover Prog album polls (the same number as the previous Prog Folk and Symphonic Prog series of polls) and then it'll be the turn of Eclectic Prog, which will give you a chance to vote for King Crimson.

Yes, finally! I might really be voting for the Crimson album on each poll.

I'll be voting for King Crimson too in the first Eclectic Prog poll, but after that, who knows. Steve Hackett will also be in the Eclectic Prog polls, so we might be torn between the two.

Let's not forget Gentle Giant, VdGG, The Tangent (if you plan to include them, of course), and who knows who else!

^ I'm pretty sure I'll find 25 British artists in Eclectic Prog to fill up the poll to the brim, including the three well-known artists you mentioned.
In the meantime, I'll have the Crossover Prog 5 poll coming up tomorrow morning. Edited by Psychedelic Paul - December 08 2020 at 12:35 |
