Bob Quinn has decided to retain Lions HC Jim Caldwell, so I'm a happy guy today!  If all of the players in the locker room are rallying around him, then that shows what kind of a guy he is.  As long as JBC and Austin are back as the coordinators, then next year could be a good year!

Assuming Megatron doesn't retire. WinkOuch

And that's when we'd go after Alshon Jefferey with all of that freed up cap room.

He's noMegatron. Nor do I think the Bears will let him get to free agency.

Okay I think New England and Arizona win today although I think Green Bay will cover the spread(7 points).
Tomorrow I'm going with Carolina and Pittsburg(yeah they're in tough).

I don't think realistically anyone expected a KC win. With Maclin hurt, both edge rushers less than 100% it was gunna be some major uphill work.
That said, Alex Smith (who I continue to be a fan of) showed some real moxy.

GB/Arizona is the real game of the day. Cant wait! Pulling for Arizona, and I do think they'll win

What a great game. That 4th quarter (+ OT) was one for the ages.

I'm just happy to see Aaron Rodgers' heroics still not be enough for the Pack.  I about lost my mind on that hail mary.  PTSD had set in. LOL

What a crazy game that was, fun to watch!  Sort of was pulling for the Cards as Palmer has been through so much that he deserved a playoff win (although his play during that game was not very good).  How does a coin not flip during the coin toss LOL.
Pats were as expected.

Pulling for the Hawks today, that should be a good game.  I don't hold much hope for my Steelers with all the injuries, but you never know....

Just incredible!  Larry Fitzgerald was a one man show, determined to make sure they got the win.

so where do I sign up to be a NFL head coach. I can coach by the numbers and by the book as well as anyone.

So does McCarthy get canned this off season...can't blame this one on the special teams coach this year. 2 years in a row man conservative play calling cost the team in the playoffs. Do you think Arians would have gone for 2? Of course he would have.  What a call to end the game. I read they saved that play to Fitzgerald the whole year for a special situation.  I suppose McCarthy didn't have one, a play to gain a couple of yards. Especially with the Cards shocked and on their heels after that last hail mary.

on the road, having lost last year in the playoffs as they did, playing a superior team and needing a damn miracle to tie the game.

I'd pay my paycheck he'd go for it. Those kind of decisions are what separate the great coaches from the run of the mill play it safe type. Arians strikes me as one who is outside the book.  He just hasn't had to really show it yet as I was reading this morning. His play calling definitely shows a slant towards the outside the box thinking.

Look no further than how Belichick went against the 'book' in the last seconds of the Super Bowl.. throwing down the trump card of superior coaching when Pete Caroll and the Seahawks held the winning hand. 99% of NFL coaches call the time out after that last Lynch run... and the Seahawks run it again  as everyone thought they would. Caroll was also coaching by the book and expected the Pats to call timeout which meant he forced them to perhaps throw a down earlier than they might have wanted to.

Well, certainly not the best start for Seattle. Yikes.

Did pick Seattle to win, based on Carolina's shaky defense and Wilson suddenly becoming the passing demon he never was with GrahamLOL
But so far Carolina's D is stifling!

EDIT: Wow. Seattle is getting spanked

think about getting some good tee times! LOL

what can they do.. what could they do.. they are getting spanked by a much better team. Was this a surprise to anyone. Carolina was very underrated all season and I think Seattle a bit overrated.

He should do what Coach Micky would do.. open the secret cooler full of Newcastles and enjoy the balmy Carolina weather LOL

Thumbs Up  Now if my boy Peyton shows like I know he will and throws 25% and 3 picks Coach Micky will be a happy man. I may have moved on from my youth and a passionate Seahawk (Zorn to Largent) fan, but I never outgrew my hatred of the Broncos LOL  I never could grow to like this current Seahawks team, especially not the coach.

Much like the Trail Blazers. I grew up worshiping that team, then... Drexler got traded.. and the the late 90's happened there. Never looked back on them.. or the NBA.

urrrggg.
