I risk to be called a pain-in-the-*ss  but the band was originally

Earth and Fire

not Earth & Fire (although this would come in later covers, both Wiki and the band's webpage use the initial designation)

OK, if you prefer "and", be so.
Not a big difference IMO.

Could you please provide the source of your info ?

Tomas Bodin webpage only states:
"With their goofy names like ”Inge Naning” (Noi Dea) they also insisted on being the band initiating ”The Summer of Love” 1967!!!???
Hasse Bruniusson Drums, Roine Stolt electric guitars & bass and Ulf Wallander saxophones.
The rest was played by me."

From what I can read there are still some instruments not credited to a specific musician, namely flute and vibes.

Well 10-12 songs are more complicated to calculate total time than two.

^ Please quote the posts (or their parts) you refer. Otherwise it's not always easy to get what you're talking about.

By the way, there is a great utility easily calculating total time of any number of songs: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=101257&KW=&PID=5140603#5140603

I can guess you were answering my post, but  as NotAProgHead already mentioned, it's better if you do it the right way so anybody can quickly understand what's it all about.

About our updating the album's info, it took me a little research but I ended up with this Line-Up:

- Tomas Bodin / Hammond organ, Rhodes electric piano, Minimoog, accordion, flute, vibes, percussion
- Roine Stolt / guitars, bass
- Ulf Wallander / soprano saxophone
- Hasse Bruniusson / drums

(Almost identical to what you proposed and no vocals, really, just a little uncredited scat but not from TB)

Thanks from the E&O team !

Ok sorry, regarding "Line-up / Musicians" on 'Swedish Family Vintage Prog' album I was referring to SPECIAL COLLABORATOR Honorary Collaborator Gatot and his review of the album. One out of four reviews of the album and by far the longest. Thanks!

indeed I did.  a few weeks ago, everyone but the photographer arrived at the photo shoot   another is being organised.  hopefully I will have a proper photograph, with the correct lineup soon.  I can give you the correct lineup, but it won't match the photograph that currently appears on the Hedersleben artist page.  A connundrum.

good memory.

I'm starting to update album's info of your (our) beloved band, do you care to check it out and point any Error or Omission I eventually might have commited ?

To begin with, just these 3 (for now only Credits, both Musicians and Artwork):

Thanks

Sorry, I forgot to reply. It seems OK, but I didn't understand the credits of Gilmour on Saucerful: did he play the guitar and kazoo on the same tracks? I didn't check the total times... by the way, do you already know the program George (historian9) created to do that?

You got it, guitar & kazoo on every track mentioned !
Do you have any suggestion as how to do it more clearly ? (duplicating the  tracks numbers for each instrument, of course, is the obvious one Smile)

And yes, thanks, the application is like all the good solutions - simply great !

I'll update more PF very soon and will leave that notice here, so stay tuned  ! Big smile

^^ José, I guess for "Saucerful" you used this Wiki article: http://https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Saucerful_of_Secrets#cite_note-29

1. I'm also curious, is the album really that "kazooed"? I don't listen to it too often, but it's a surprise to me.

2. In my opinion this Releases info:
ArtWork: Hipgnosis

LP Columbia UK SX6258 (mono) (1968)

CD Capitol/EMI Records 46383 (1994)

is too short. I would add at least the first stereo LP version and mention that there were numerous LP, MC and CD reissues.

3. Vocal credits are quite confusing:
- Syd Barrett / acoustic & slide guitar (2), guitar (3,7), lead vocals (7)
- David Gilmour / guitar & kazoo (1,3-6), lead vocals (1,4), voice (5)
- Richard Wright / organ, piano, Mellotron, vibraphone, xylophone, tin whistle (7), lead vocals (1,2,4,6), voice (5)
- Roger Waters / bass, percussion, lead vocals (1,3)
- Nick Mason / drums, percussion, lead vocals (4), kazoo (7)

Looking at this I thought: "Wow, Rick Wright was the main singer on this album! And even Mason sang lead. What a discovery!".
According to mentioned article, "Let There Be More Light" and "Corporal Clegg" were sung by 3 guys (in harmony or some other way). I'd rather use the word "vocals" than "lead vocals" for these songs.

I think this would be more accurate:
- Syd Barrett / acoustic & slide guitar (2), guitar (3, 7), lead vocals (7)
- David Gilmour / guitar & kazoo (1, 3 - 6), vocals (1, 4), voice (5)
- Richard Wright / organ, piano, Mellotron, vibraphone, xylophone, tin whistle (7), lead vocals (2, 6), vocals (1, 4), voice (5)
- Roger Waters / bass, percussion, lead vocals (3), vocals (1)
- Nick Mason / drums, percussion, vocals (4), kazoo (7)

Conclusion: the more details you add, the more headache you find accuracy required.

4. General point on such detailed lists. I'm afraid it may be more confusing than clearing.
Imagine, it's not Pink Floyd but some obscure band. And you see a long list of instruments played by each member, all played guitars, keyboards, wistles, washing boards, sang lead and backing vocals.
How in this case to detect their "main specialisation" (who is a singer, who is a guitarist etc)?

^  Thanks guys, I really needed your help !

The reason for my asking you in the first place was precisely because I don't have no book or any other 1st hand source to confirm the whole thing ( which would come handy if any of you had) .

Gonna revise the info with your contributions in mind, and hopefully any one that might still come by.

Eugene, good you raised the question of releases, I left that to be addressed in a second «stage» which I will engage soon.

I updated a few Kraftwerk album that had problems with special characters and spacing. About Autobahn, its credits are from the original edition but the 2009 reissue has more detailed credits (the flute isn't even mentioned on the original). Do you think it should be updated?

^ Yes, indeed, more than deserved Thumbs Up

From a quick research I also collected the reference to the synths used: Minimoog, ARP Odyssey and   EMS Synthi AKS.
It seems that voice and vocoder are exclusively used on track 1.
