Came across this band the other day through various Youtube sites I prescribed.     Eelie Craig a band from Austria has quite a variety off crossover styles and not too shabby either...  Great symphonic/neo/crossover or to which you wish to label them.

They came out with severn albums and yesterstay splurged and could only buy 6 of their 7 albums..

1. Eelie Craig - Debut
2. One Niter
3. Miss Universalis
4. Hats of Glass
5. Virgin Oiland
6. Hit and Miss
7. Symphonic Rock

So far I've enjoyed all the 6 albums..  Hats of Glass, One Niter and the Symphonic Rock albums really y stand out and in my opinion would rate these around 9/10

It's a shame I could not find Hit and Miss anywhere Cry...  Shame really...   This PA site has rated their albums highly accorded to the listeners...

Great band to check out..  If limited for cash, would go for Hats of Glass first and those I enjoyed the most ....Big smile

Sorry to be pedantic, but it's Eela Craig. I came across the name yesterday when someone reported a low-rated review of "Hit or Miss" where the person reviewing it had not heard it. Hit or Miss is now the highest rated one since removing his sole review, and it has the fewest ratings at six, and was the lowest rated before that. Hopefully someone will write a review of it. I noticed you rated Hats of Glass, Hit or Miss, One Niter and Symphonic Rock all five stars, so you must think that they are a great and very consistent in quality band (BMW also felt the same about the albums).

I'd actually like to hear Hit or Miss, the review I deleted before got me curious about it. Could you please hit me with a link as I didn't find it on youtube? Or do you mean that you weren't able to hear that album as well as not able to purchase it, in which case I can delete your five star rating of the album?

Cannot post YouTube stuff on here, Unless PA has fixed my issue..    But since yesterday, after that review which was deleted, I was absolutely amazed by this band and I've been around a bit..  This band is a true classic and so much under the radar!!  First time I heard this band was yesterday ,but there are so many influences in their music..  Jazz Fusion/ Symphonic/ early Neo and Crossover.Smile

I cannot find any music on Hit and Miss anywhere, not even a listen!!.....Cry

Didn't mean to imply that you posted the review, that review was from 2004, you only rated Hit and Run, I thought you might have made a mistake by rating that one.

No need to embed, a simple copy/paste of the url will work, can hyperlink it with url tags if you like. But if you want to embed it should work, you just need to copy the number/letter bit after v= and place tube tags around it. By quoting this post, you will see how it's done with the video I am embedding. I always do it manually by typing in the tags. It used to that you could do it by posting the whole address when embedding, but that doesn't work anymore.

And for a hyperlink to the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYK92zMc6jI The jYK92zMc6jI part is the only part you want when using tube tags. Actually, I get unwanted code when quoting, so not sure how much that will help. It's this [ tube]jYK92zMc6jI [/ tube] without any spaces for videos, and the whole address without spaces for hyperlinks [URL ] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYK92zMc6jI[/ URL]

I posted a single by Eela Craig there and I like it. I actually recall now that I had heard some of the early stuff before; it's good.

IMO, yes, those are their two best. Btw, Symphonic Rock is the CD two-fer that compiles both those albums (minus two songs).

No worries, thought from your post that sounded the case, I can delete your rating. With the quick rating feature it's an easy mistake to make. That it has so few ratings I'm guessing that it's very hard to come by.

As to another site maintenance matter, not that I want to turn this thread into that.

It seems that progarchives should have listed the Symphonic Rock album under compilations rather than the stdio albums section (I don't suppose that there's any reworked material). http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=92

Rateyourmusic certainly has it listed as a compilation. http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/eela_craig As does wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eela_Craig and discogs https://www.discogs.com/artist/973413-Eela-Craig

Safe bet to move into the right category, so going to...

The problem is that there's an added code there that you don't want
Instead of QR-b7Zoyav4&t=319s it should be QR-b7Zoyav4 . Just need to get rid of the &... bit

The debut album is a killer !! Top marks.
Others I have in my collection are Hats of Glass, and Missa Universalis. Both are quite good.
Very good band that flies under the radar tbh.

Just managed to pick up Hit and Miss.   This is quite a pop album,  not bad at all though!!!... Not as progressive compared to their other releases.

Suppose the album goes with this title Big smile

Hit and Miss.......This album is nothing like the other releases....  Not at all progressive...  Still a good album though!...  Most Eela Craig fans might find this quite a shock!....

Personally I like it!!...  Depending on personal tastes, it's a worthy album to own.

It's a shame this album cannot be listened on the internet?....

3/5

You managed to edit your rating, but there is no review. Maybe it hadn't sufficient words? By the way because of Captcha, be really careful to save your review before you submit it. Even before that, and I haven't reviewed much, I lost two reviews that took me a long time to write. I redid them both, but not nearly as well as the first time I wrote them.
