It's between Camel, Comus and Thinking Plague. I have to go with the majority this time.

Almost voted for Hawkwind, but I've gotten so much mileage out of Parallels over the years...

I am currently digging:
Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz! Please drop me a message with album suggestions. |

the tough choice for me here is between Camel and Fates Warning, two of my favorite bands. Gave my vote to Mirage.

Although Camel is running away with this I think GG, Comus and Thinking Plague should all receive a ton of votes as those albums are terrific!!! And yes, I voted Camel too.

Mirage - Camel. One of their very best. However, Acquring the Taste - Gentle Giant is a much closer second than it was a year or so ago.

Hawkwind by a clear margin; their best album. then GG, then Comus. "Mirage" is too mainstream for my taste, but I am not surprised it is winning

^ I find it funny seeing Camel being called mainstream. Most people don't know who they are.

If it's not obscure krautrock then the ladies says it's mainstream.

not at all; we like a lot of other stuff, including symphonic prog. but we are definitely not fond of Camel, with the exception of "The Snow Goose"

In everyday life I met a couple of people that know who they are. I've rarely seen Camel albums in music stores. If you mean to say they make catchy, accessible prog, go ahead, but not mainstream. :)
