Definetly my favourite band beside Pink Floyd. The music is uncommon and genius and the lyrics are often pesymistic, the way i lov'em. Fripp is my favourite guitarist. He is often degrated as guitar player. The man can play a hell of a solo! People must understand that. But he often doesn't. But that's because he's not your typical guitarist who likes to play 5min solo. He is a man who enjoys playing, rhythm or solo. ITCOTCK is perfection. So is Red, Larks, SABB, Lizard, ITWOP...

Those are also my favorite KC albums.....and pretty much in that order.
I've always wondered why Fripp didn't let loose with a longer more traditional prog solo on a few of their albums but that's just not his style.

btw...welcome to the forums.

Fantastic news!  I like Jakko even better than Adrian, his guitar style is very much like Fripp's!!

This is gonna be some killer stuff, based on what I saw when they played in Chicago on 26 Sept, 2014!

those shows were otherworldly....but, the last Jakko/Bob writing was, in my opinion, completely dreadful, the perhaps more aptly named Total Absence of Miracles

...that is the first thing that came to my mind as well!

I particularly enjoyed Jakko's playing on old Crimson songs like "Pictures of a City" from ITWOP.  That was an amazing song live!!

We shall see, I think this will be good stuff!  Bob was on top of his form in concert, I don't know that I've seen him better (and I saw LTIA in 1972!)

Yep!  Having listened only to ITCOTCK is not enough to tell KC rule; because you may like what comes after......maybe you won't!!!Confused

KING CRIMSON is not always talking to the wind with a Moonchild under its arm;
......... they fracture a lot of red vroom-wroom with a lizard under strict discipline as well, so be prepared!!!!!LOL

You'll have to excuse me, but it is probably with an Aleister Crowley novel under its arm!

Too subtle for rock fans that have to be told by Ozzie! Fans that will never read the book? Btw, Diary of a Drug Fiend is also one of the best anti-drug books EVER written!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
