While I like most of Jethro Tull's albums I've never been able to get into Aqualung much. I like "Mother Goose", and a couple of other songs, but not the title track or Locomotive Breath. The album is a bit overrated IMHO.

How can something simultaneously be "too happy" yet "soulless"? (Apart from the Teletubbies, that is.)

Interesting. My fave Tull album. Curisouly, do you like Heavy Horses? Minstrel in the Gallery?

Songs From The Wood is an excellent album...not overrated at all, but Passion Play is definitely overrated.

Just stopped by to say how I loved I-Juca Pirama name. I wish I have though about this nic name. Wink

That said, an overrated prog SONG is perhaps "Shine on your Crazy diamond", although it fits in the album and is a great track, everybody worship this song (at least here in Brazil, among people who dont know prog, but love Pink Floyd) and there's planty of better ones... even from Pink Floyd itself.

Personally I think Interstellar Overdrive is one of the most overrated songs of all time. It feels like ear poison to me.

I find "Relayer" a bit overrated, good album but definitely below the trilogy The Yes Album-Fragile-Close to the Edge.

And I like GFTO a lot, but find Awaken a bit overrated. I like it but not close to Yes' best songs as Heart of the Sunrise, Close to the Edge, Starship Trooper or Gates of Delirium.

Is it? I don't see it being very "rated". Most people find it boring and a poor man's Thick as a Brick. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't like it much either.

I shook my head and smiled a whisper knowing all about the place

I actually like those silly ELP songs like "Are you ready, Eddie?" or "Jeremy bender". but some people seem to  think humor does not belong into prog

I am exactly of the opposite opinion. "Relayer" is the best album Yes ever made. "Close to the Edge" is in my opinion overrated. It is a good album, but not the milestone of prog as which it is celebrated. I wouldn't regard "Relayer" as a milestone either though, just as better as CttE.

Uh..it has 1118 ratings at a 4.02....that's a lot of ratings imho.
Many Tull fans claim it as their favorite on previous threads about Tull.

I love humor too but sadly those humorous ELP songs are just plain bad imho.
