This was pretty cool, a documentary on the legendary Sound City studio and all the great rock albums made there.....from After the Gold Rush to Fleetwood Mac's debut to Nevermind and a whole lot in between...

As the complete fruit-bat that I am, I went ahead and bought the new Burnin Red Ivanhoe BRIErmm

This leaves me with 12 kr(2 bucks) for all of next week.... Hooooraay for canned tuna!

I've got 10 bucks 'til thursday.

But I got a CD gift card (worth about 70 bucks) for my birthday, so I might take a trip to the CD shop tomorrow after work.

Since you have that gift card, can you please lend me those 10 bucks?

Sure, no problem! Just swing by my apartment building tomorrow. I'll be home all evening.

From RIO

Cheer-Accident - Salad Days
Cheer-Accident - Sever Roots, Tree Dies
Aranis - en Toon Fret, Hidden Soundscapes
The Exquisite Corpse Game - s/t
Knifeworld - Clairvoyant Fortnight
Saxlife - Total Sax Retain
Faust - Trial & Error 2005 DVD

I nearly got hit in the head by this last one as Zappi was throwing them into the crowd

What's the deal with those Aranis discs? New or super old?

The Aranis is a 2006 mini ep from a festival, pretty expensive at 15 euros for something like 20 minutes of music but what I'm looking for at RIO is stuff I can't get elsewhere.

Sever Root, Tree Dies is a classic. Salad Days has quite a fan following but I have yet to find it as great as others.

I was going to ask about that Aranis album as well but MWH beat me to it.

Ahh ok. I've just never heard of it. Thanks for the explanation. And yes that is a bit outrageous but so it goes I fear!
