It's a little known fact, since most people assume it's a movie, but it's actually just filming David Bowie's daily life at the time.

Does this mean Jim Henson was actually a journalist? And how about the Dark Crystal? I suppose it was a National Geographic film?

Bowie. The only one I don't really care for at all is Prince.

David Bowie > Elton John > Alice Coooper > Prince. David Bowie's music is very special to me, and it is an easy choice, but Elton John released a strong of excellent albums in the 70s that I appreciate very much as well. Alice Cooper's early albums I like too. The only album of Prince I have ever heard is Purple Rain.

Careerwise, It would have to be David Bowie, but Alice was my first concert in '72, and watching that crazy sh*t unfold on stage was the entire reason I picked up the guitar in the first place.

Bowie and Elton were big in my days of youth, but I was a Cooper fan more in those days, so gave it to Vince. Never got into Prince other than a song here or there.

Of these choices it is only Elton who I've had any significant interest in. Only saw him live once though, on the "Breaking Hearts" tour. I still enjoy Captain Fantastic, Blue Moves, and Single Man.

Alice, easily. The man and the band.
And I'm a fan of Bowie and Elton. Haven't listened much to Prince.

Classic imho.......songwriting at it's best.
I like early Bowie, John, ....and Cooper.....Love It To Death and Killer are great rock albums.....but I pull out Tumbleweed and Madman more often to listen to than either Bowie or Alice. Edited by dr wu23 - April 19 2016 at 09:27 |

This one is so easy it is prince by a country mile. He is leagues above these ines. Prince's unreleased stuff alone beats all these peoples stuff. Only one close talent wise is Michael Jackson but he did far less music then all the scandal did for him. I was around in 80s and most people thought Jackson and prince were best. But with these forums history can be revised. Beatles Elvis etc were in reality nowhere near as good
