Edit: if some Admin can pull this to proto porg lounge because i can`t create polls there.

Isn't that the second song?
Also, where's "Achilles Last Stand?" My favorite Led Zep track for sure.

I don't understand, some of these are not even openers: Communication Breakdown? Rock & Roll?
I will go for The Song Remains the Same.
EDIT: oh, live openers...

No, Rock and Roll was the opener song during the 1972 Japan Tour and the whole word tour 1973, until de MSG concerts in New York.
Achilles Last Stand never was a opener song during the 1977 tour.
send me a PM and i send to you my source.

at shows they usually weren't warmed-up enough for the opener to play things like Immigrant Song, R'nR or SRtS (even though they did).. for me, one of the greatest openings to a rock album ever was 'Good Times, Bad Times' and it's too bad they so rarely played it, and edited it short in with Breakdown

Agree with you David, unfortunately Good Times is very scarce to find in a complete version.

All good choices, but I went with "The Song Remains the Same" since this is a prog forum. Houses of the Holy had some proggy songs ("The Rain Song," " No Quarter") and my hard rock friends hated it when it was released. But in 1973, a lot of bands couldn't help but be influenced by the genre.
