OK RIO heads, this is a though one,

Two dark, uncompromising and brooding masterpieces of RIO/Avant against each other, Present's two first (and best) albums. Which one is your favorite? Wink

1980
Triskaidekaphobie
4.23
(13 ratings)

1985
Le Poison Qui Rend Fou
4.27
(11 ratings)

Happy choosing!*

 * - Mind you that I left their compilation that contains these two albums on one CD out, just to make thing a little bit more difficult.. Tongue

Triskaidekophobie by the narrowest of margins. Promenade au Fond d'un Canal is my favourite track off these two classic albums (and they go together to make a stunningly good single CD).

'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'

Robert Wyatt, Gloria Gloom

Triskaidekaphobie narrowly - Promenade and Quatre-Vingt Douze are just too brilliant.

I prefer Triskaidekaphobie myself, mostly because of Promenade which is probably Present's best and most representative track. I also like it's more horror movie attitude compared to Le Poison.. though it's a VERY close race overall!

Thirded... don't see the need to choose though, I'm so used to listening to them as one album... i don't even think i've ever listened to them separatelyLOL

The fact that both of these are on 1 CD, that can be purchased inexpensively, makes getting this the biggest no-brainer ever.
