Topic: A Kind of ....Floydian Poll Posted: February 16 2007 at 05:38 |
Well, I was listening to Richard Wright's album two evenings ago and realised (IMHO) that it's one of the best albums I've ever heard (excuse my ignorance ). Therefore I 've come to appreciate "Broken China" more than the other albums from the list.
So which album from my list do you enjoy and appreciate more?

Haven't listened to Amuzed to Death, but I gave a spin at the all the other Waters solo albums and wasn't impressed.
Out of that list, and not counting Waters, I would probably go for The Division Bell.
But when it comes to Floyd members solo albums, the 78' series still tops my hill: "David Gilmour" and "Wet Dream"
A curious but enjoyable experience is Nick Mason's "Ficticious Sports".

Amused To Death. Great album!
Division Bell is more second division for me.
On an Island.....I like it, mellow and laid back.

Divion Bell, although I have only got On An Island out of the others so my vote is probably not fair. Are the others easy to get hold of?

They are all good but "Division Bell" beats out "Amused to Death" for me.

''AMUSED TO DEATH'' is the best Roger Waters album; this is the one that stands up to ''The Wall''.
''The DIVISION BELL'' is good, very pleasant but Gilmour is selling a marketing product with the brand ''Pink Floyd'' sure to please the crowds.
2 good albums, but i'll go with Roger as it's more edgy and risky than dear David.

Division Bell for me, though in all honesty I haven't heard the Wright album.

Amused To Death, I've never understood the love of the Division Bell

I'm somewhat familiar only with DG's output, and of course Division Bell, so I won't vote...but why Syd's albums aren't included in the poll?

On a island it's always the same "Fat-old-sunish" Gilmour tempo.... I'm tired of this man! You won't die if you change a little bit!

"Broken China" for me, however "Wet Dream" and "David Gilmour" are also among my alltime favourites.

Tough choice.
I'll go with Division Bell
then On An Island.

I have to admit I have never heard Richard Wright's album.
But I doubt it would change my mind,
I voted for The Division Bell.
Floyd have always been better as a band than as individuals for me,
although Gilmour's first two albums are very good.
