You say you don't want the site to be "polluted," and that's why you are opposed to Opeth being here.  However, as has been pointed out, the webmasters reserve the right to make final decisions on who is included and who isn't.  And while they certainly take member comments and feelings into account, this is not a democracy; i.e., bands do not get added or deleted simply because a few members - or even many - feel they should or should not be on here.

Your feelings re Opeth are noted.  However, they will remain.

Peace.

Now I only have the Damnation cd, but I am not sure where any of you are coming from. To me, the big shocker to Opeth was this is really considered metal? Pink Floyd and VdGG get heavier than this. That's not a knock as I am the kind of guy who can enjoy prog metal, but just not too often. I'm listening to the cd right now and this is really mellow compared to the likes of a Dream Theatre or Tool. And to call this Death Metal!??....clearly Phillippe hasn't heard this cd before.

Well in his defense, the rest of their output is quite different from that.  Their songs tend to have sections that sound like what's on Damnation, but other sections which sound like death metal (albeit far more melodic and complex than any other death metal I've heard).

Well, yes I did invent the internet.I also discovered Sweden and used to be the Mayor of Chicago,so you two should call me Sir and pay me everytime you log on to this site.Big smile

BTW I am fed up of Tim Berners-Lee getting the credit for the World Wide Web as I beat him to it when I did a science project in 3rd grade assessing the frailties of Natos defence network as a favour to my good friend Henry Kissinger, who is also my son.
Anyway, got to dash off as some Cardinal chappie wants me to be the next Pope.................

Let's all take a second to imagine what Reed would be like as the pope.

His first order of bussiness would be to nominate Rush as new choir, probably making them saints aswell.

Other bands scheduled to take part in the trek include CLUTCH, LAMB OF GOD, GWAR, POISON THE WELL, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES, UNEARTH, EVERY TIME I DIE, CHIMAIRA, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, MADBALL and
