I voted Tales, have yet to hear JTTCOTE, but I might just pass, survived long enough without hearing it...

if someone don't like ''pretentious'', they should not be on this site. If YES, WAKEMAN,
or ELP are considered ''pretentious''  , what to say about Beethoven, Moussorgski or Wagner or Mahler?
''pretentious'' is a word used by PROG haters.
There is nothing ''pretentious'' about the aforementionned albums; they are maybe challenging , adventurous, not easy listening, but it's what prog is all about.
We should create a rule here: banning the word ''pretentious'' on this site or you are exiled to SteHelena with a ZZTOP album or better Enrique Iglesias collection. At least
they are not ''pretentious''

as far as i'm concerned, a clear draw between TALES and PICTURES.
SIX WIVES' pretentiousness is kind ouf counterbalanced by wakey's
sense of humour which prevails throughout most of his recordings.
progressive rock and rural tranquility don't match. true or false?

In my opinion, Journey to the centre of the Earth is the most pretentious here. In some parts, I think it's ridiculous.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

These are some of the most pretentiious albums i have heard, this is not to say they are bad, in fact i love most of them. Which do you think really tops the bill when it comes to pretention?

Another emotional suicide, overdosed on sentiment and pride
