Hmmm, I recall starting a thread like this a year or more ago.

Mine is a photo I took of my next door neighbour's window that faced our kitchen (pre-reno) of some knitted balaclavas she had done. The faces were absolutely terrifying to look at day after day. They were there for several years before they moved away.

Mine's me with a migraine.

Or rather, me and Deep Dream Generator, which is a great weird image processing tool.

Go see.

My new avatar is a screenshot from a Silent Hill game, a series where -- much like in real life -- entering a mysterious hole or sticking your hand in one is often the only way to progress.

Having changed my avatar again (I just recycle old ones that I uploaded), it's Damien from the Omen with hellish hound. I like dogs (had a few dogs, including one from the film version of A Boy And His Dog, and the film Baxter). My family had lovely dogs, and I do love dogs, but having being bitten quite badly by a dog when young, I can get mixed feelings when it comes to man's (and some boy's) best friend. Damien's dog reminds me of the one that bit me on the way to school.

Very true. Some cultures don't even have the sun yet. They've been promising it in Seattle for years, but it hasn't shown up. sh*t takes longer than fiber optics.

That's fine. There is only so much sun to go around...I don't need it being wasted on the so called  emerald city.

you've aways had that one haven't you.. of the old timers..  Not counting the king of the Bobbleheads himself.. Darth Ivan... I can only think of you, and David immediately that never messed around with flipping avatars.. and have had the same for many many years.. if not always had it.

when I first joined I did have a different one...for about a week or two. Can't remember which one of the defaults it was...but there is just some about that lightbulb that I can't quit.

I cycle my avatar pics. The ones I used the longest were Sean Connery as Zed in Zardoz, Nigel Tufnel from Spinal Tap (various people thought it was Randy Rhoads), another Spinal Tap image with the trio, and scientists with the Doomsday Clock as I was not feeling optimistic about our future (still not, to be honest).

urrgg... good god man.. I'm not sure what the hell that thing is you have for your avatart.. but it makes Zed look mighty scrumptious..

though I will always think of you as Nigel.. that was the one in the golden years.  I still have people tell me they immediately think of me when they see the Sulle corde di Aries cover and I haven't had that as an avatar in quite a few years.

I first "met," Logan as Zardoz, which cracked me up.

yeah it cracked me up as well when he whipped that one out..
