Topic: Angra Posted: November 30 2009 at 07:04 |
Angra, so far, has released 6 albums and fronted by two vocalists, Andre Matos (former) and Edu Falaschi. Well, which era is better?

Holy Land has no matches... Matos is a great composer... It's very wierd that in PA they are not that popular... don't know why... it's a great band...

Matos converted me into Angra fan, then Falaschi drove me away.

I liked Viper's "Theatre of Fate" but was not a fan of "Angel's Cry" despite mixed feelings. I recently bought "Holy Land" for some strange reason and loved it. Same with "Fireworks". Working my way up river I listened to the songs on "Rebirth" and love the music but I don't know about the vocals. Matos went on to Shaman and then Andre Matos and I may buy the Andre Matos solo cds instead of any more Angra.

I have only two albums from Angra: Rebirth and Temple of Shadows. Rebirth has great songs but indeed the vocal parts ain't the best possible. I have to say though that do not judge Falaschi by Rebirth, for some reason Edu seems to be singing only half of his power, on Temple of Shadows (5/5) there is some amazing and powerful vocal interpration involved!

Yo Falaschi, I'm really happy for you, and imma let you finish, but Holy Land was one of the best metal albums of all time, OF ALL TIME.

Holy land is obviously their greatest achievement. a near masterpiece.
definetly prefer Matos, great voice and a good composer. Falaschi is quite alright, but I miss something in his era, probably something about the classical influence from Matos.
