Streets!
But I've only heard that, Mountain King and Edge of Thorns.
Cool band, though.

The trio 'Handful of Rain', 'Dead Winter Dead' and 'Wake of Magellan' is fantastic, but if is to choose one of them... I prefer the last one...

Streets! One of my favourite albums ever. Gutter Ballet, Edge of Thorns and Hall of the Mountain King are other incredible masterpieces on their own though.

And don't forget about their most orchestral ones Dead Winter Dead and The Wake of Magellan, which are excellent too. Incredible band! ![Clap](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif)

My vote goes for STREETS !!!! ![Clap](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif) ![Clap](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif) ![Clap](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif)
Streets was the first release I heard from the band. Now I have almost all of them and I am still convinced Streets is the best. Their conceptual history and the musical arrangements are amazing

First I would like to say that I think savatage have contributed some great music to the prog metal genre and probably don`t get the attention they deserve from this forum . My vote went for poets and madmen ![Smile](smileys/smiley1.gif) theres some songs on it that just do it for me .

Went for Handful of Rain, but Edge of Thorns and Dead Winter Dead were very close. Great band.

What they indeedly are of course. But I am also a big Sirens fan, their least progressive album though, just awesome early power metal.

Definitely "From The Gutter To The Stage". This is wondeful 2 disks set compilation representing truly best of Savatage. For me it's their only album worth keeping in my collection.

I also have it in my collection and I must tell you, you're truely missing out. Their most well-known songs are on there, but true gems are missing.

Sirens, The Dungeons Are Calling, and Hall of the Mountain King are three fo the greatest metal albums ever.
As far as prog, I'd vote for Handful of Rain. Criss Oliva was a genius, but Alex Skolnick added a dimension to their sound.
