Orpheus GhostSong picture
Orpheus GhostSong biography
Jon Orpheus formed GhostSong from remnants of the band IN THE HILLS in 2008, focusing early on live shows with notable appearances alongside IN GOWAN RING, MAGICFOLK and THE TRAVELLING BAND among others. The group also played the Northern Green Gatherings, Thornborough Henge and Pendle Witch Festivals. The band disbanded in 2010 with Orpheus continuing as the group's namesake and standard bearer, with a new lineup releasing their debut studio album 'Haunted' in 2014.

Orpheus' music is largely comprised of Scottish, English and American folk standards, as well as original material.
