4 stars Wonderful progstravaganza!

Though this is the fourth compilation album of this series, it is the first in some topics. The first with a clear tendency to one genre: fusion (in all its phases and faces), and the first to feature more over 20 songs, (21, exactly), so here you will have a feast of colors, flavors and sounds.

I know the previous compilation had an orientation to psych or space tones, but it was not that obvious like this one. So if you like jazz and fusion, you better go and download this compilation, it is worth it.

As I mentioned, it comprises 21 songs taken from 21 different bands from all over the world, most of them are acts which have been in the scene for a few years, so one of the goals of these "compilations of awesomeness" is to help those bands gaining more exposure, because they actually deserve it. Now, with this quantity of songs there may be some pros and cons.

The pros are obviously the music, these artists and their tracks were carefully chosen by experts and approved to be compiled by the bands themselves, so it is a guarantee of good music. Also, the fusion realm is really wide, so inside this genre, we will listen to its different branches exemplified by these original and diverse bands. It is for all tastes. Another positive point is that we can choose the bands we like the most and explore deeper in their discography. And finally, the download is for free.

The cons are that with so many songs, it is difficult to listen to the album in its entirety, unless we really have time and the mood, otherwise we will listen it in parts, or only listen to the tracks or bands that attract us more. That would be actually the only "negative" point I would find, but all is mere subjectivity.

With this Fusiontastic edition we will have almost three hours of good music (it may be a 3- CD album) when we will enjoy wonderful bands such as SimakDialog, Silvovitz, The Wrong Object, Deus ex Machina, Planeta Imaginario, Klotet, Fractale and a long etc. Most of the bands featured here were unknown to me, so it is a great way to discover their music, and get interested on it. Once again, an applause to Prog-Sphere for this initiative, and a bug thank you to the bands for allowing it. Four stars.

Enjoy it!
