3 stars I'm one of the people who enjoy PT allot more after they picked up drummer Gavin Harrison, which is In Absentia and up. That being said I really do appreciate the "Delirium" years as some would call these albums. My favorite being Signify followed by Sky moves sideways. Up the Down Stair on the other hand I find to be quite boring, I just can't get into most of the tracks on here. Basically the album simply doesn't hold my attention and there's not much to get out of it. Sure Fadeaway is a great song and the album has a few other good songs, Always Never, the Jokes on you, to name a few. But overall I believe this album falls flat compared to any other release by this great band except for maybe there first. 2.5 for me, go with Signify Or the Sky Moves Sideways.
