3 stars It's absolutely not as bad as almost everyone make you to believe. Just as with Tormato, I'm stunned that this album has such a bad reputation. I like it a lot. It's kinda newer sound of Yes, not as heavy into prog as 70s stuff obviously but also not as openly, shamlesly commerical as their Rabin era 80s albums, which I must admit I dislike with all my heart. This one is much more sophisticated and multilayered (there is always something interesting going on somewhere) but within shorter formula and still with enough energy to keep me awake, as opposed to Heaven and Earth album and some parts of The Quest when they lost their momentum. I wish Yes had kept the level of 90's efforts like "Talk", this one, and "Ladder" up to this day, as I see these albums as much improvement over three consecutive miserable albums (90125, Big Generator, Union) with Yes in name but not in spirit. Of course Yes was capable of even greater hights around the time (Keystudio, Magnification) but this one, maybe not among their best, is still good enough. Easily 3,5 star album. Just open your... ears :) Oh, and I also like the cover. How is it boring (as many reviewers have stated) when it's adorned with this brilliant logo by Roger Dean in it's full glory?
