BLACK NOISE

'Phasors on Stun' was a radio hit in Canada when it was new and can still be heard on Canadian classic rock stations every once in a while. It is a very kool pop song with a distinctive synthesizer hook. The rest of the album is sort of a combination of keyboard driven pop and true prog. But there are also electric violins and other strange things going on which makes this a very tasty album. The members of FM are good buddies with the guys from Rush and there are some similarities between FM and some of the Rush albums, but FM definitely has a flavor all of their own.
