2 stars This is the second and last release of this short-lived prog metal German band. Maybe, the problem is they couldn't find an audience. Their sound is a bit too metal for a proggy and a bit too proggy for a metal band. The metal is stringer and darker than in the debut album Return To Forever, and definitely Achim's voice is a bit excessive for the sensitive moments. One cannot listen comfortably to the composition when someone is shouting around, you know. Some tracks could be better valued by removing half the lyrics. In this album, the themes are less varied, they use fewer resources, the keys are more present but less inspired, and the voice gets to bother. There are a few good moments buried, as the guitar solo in Shadows of Faces. Too bad they changed the path open in RTF.
