4 stars Short and easy. You may call it math, metal, tech, extreme, or banana rock. But there is not much prog music here. Who cares! It happens to be the case that I love good rock too (what is a guitar solo but a small bit of prog wrapped in angry honey for airy teens?) That is INTERVALS, long guitar-based solo-ist themes. In their former EP "In Time" one could appreciate how these guitars learned fast at every new theme. Those crude guitars playing long satrianistic solos accompanied by a not very enthusiastic drum banging the part of the missing bass. Then "A Voice Within". Now there is music. But what a bittersweet surprise! The band's first full album is a little big mistake: a guitar masterpiece spoiled by unnecessary voice. Fortunately, the band fixed it right the way and has re-issued an instrumental version: a classic. Thanks, thanks and thanks. Forget about this AVW and get the voiceless one. I mean it, like night and day. The 5 starts go to it.
